This summer I finally got a chance to visit the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando. I am a big fan of the Harry Potter series, so I was really looking forward to finally seeing Harry Potter's world up close and in person. It was really fun and I was not disappointed--I'm not going to bore you with my vacation stories. Instead I'm going to share with you my inspiration for my latest Halloween design.
Whenever I travel, I often find myself in full creative mode. During all of that downtime, my mind is always working and I'm constantly thinking about how I can incorporate trends into my wrapper designs. This vacation was no different and as I was walking through the shops of Hogsmeade and waiting in line at Hogwarts castle, I couldn't stop thinking about this "witchy" Halloween design. I couldn't wait to get home so I could get started.
It all started with these tiny little brooms. They had cute little broomstick Christmas ornaments in one of the shops and I thought they were absolutely adorable (and overpriced). While they were not exactly my taste, I did think that I could find a way to make them and incorporate them into a candy bar wrapper design.
After I made about 20 of these little brooms I started to play around with some new designs and bingo....a witch on a broom!
I am so pleased with the way that these came out. They are so cute and I hope they will be a popular item for upcoming Halloween festivities. I can make them on a variety of different wrapper colors and of course, I can personalize them for any occasion.
This is such a fun little wrapper. Thank you Harry Potter for the inspiration!
