Your kids are only young for such a short while. Why not throw them a birthday party they will never forget? Themed birthday parties are not only fun, but they also simplify the party planning process. It's easier for mom and dad to get organized when they have a common theme in mind.
Superhero Spectacular
Superhero themed parties are great because there are plenty of male and female superheroes to draw inspiration from. The kids can dress up in masks and capes, or you can fire a professional artist to paint faces.
Make cardboard cutouts that resemble the most infamous super villains. Hide them around the party venue for a super fun scavenger hunt. Partygoers will have a blast hunting for the Joker and the Green Goblin, and you can hand out prizes at the end of the party.
You don't have to rob a bank to have a superhero themed birthday party either. About Family Crafts shows there are plenty of great party ideas that you can do yourself.

Circus Extravaganza
Can you think of anything kids love more than animals, popcorn, and games? We couldn't, and that is why a birthday party with a circus theme made the top of our list.
You don't need a big top tent to have a circus-themed birthday party unless, of course, you want one. Renting a circus bounce house, a photo booth, and a popcorn machine could be a great, affordable addition to any circus party. Hop N Party warns, “if you decide to go with a bounce house, you need to ensure the inflatables are lead-free vinyl, and that they are safe for use with children.” The kids can play pin the trunk on the elephant while having their faces painted to match their favorite circus animals. Be sure to hand out circus-themed party favors, and don't forget to hire a clown!
This circus candy bar wrapper is one of my best sellers.
Mad Scientist Celebration
Encourage your little science lover with a mad scientist-themed birthday party. Parents.com explains, “kids can participate in fun experiments like the color swirl. Hand out lab coats, wild-haired wigs and "official" lab badges.” Kids and parents will love that they get to participate in the action instead of just watching the birthday boy or girl have all of the fun.
A mad scientist birthday party wouldn't be complete without a bubbling vat of punch. Lemon-lime soda, lemonade, and green jello make for a delicious, slime-colored punch. Top this concoction off with a bit of dry ice to make it bubble like a suspicious laboratory experiment gone awry.
Choose one of these fun party themes, and the entire neighborhood will be talking about your party for months. Don't be surprised if other parents start enlisting you to help plan their little ones' birthday parties.
Don’t forget that any good party always ends with goodies! Custom treats and snacks themed to the rest of the party can make all the difference in the world to a young child remembering your party. To look at what birthday and other options we have for customized treats, go here! Happy partying!
